Heather Van Heerdan
Hi! I am so glad to meet you and I am excited to share our storytelling services with you. When I was very young, I discovered my grandfather's old darkroom in my grandmother's basement and it was the beginning of a lifelong journey of chasing light, color, shape and emotion. Film photography provided a beautiful foundation for my work today. I am a creative at heart, an academic, a mom, a spokesperson and a reader. I love mixed media art, hot tea, cloudy days and history. If I meet your dog, I will probably sit on the ground and hug them. I take bugs back outside to the woods around our house and I get lost in books, flowers and vintage cameras.

Behind every great photographer is a partner that always keeps calm, organizes all of the heavy things, deals with all technical issues, takes all video and b-roll footage, builds studios, constructs sets and still manages to take beautiful images and capture meaningful content. Charl can be found laughing with groomsman as he captures their moments, attaching his 1,545th corsage, connecting with other vendors to make sure the day is running smoothly, controlling lighting in all scenarios, taking incredible group and candid shots or building creative sets for portrait sessions. He may be identifying a plant or bug for a child during an outdoor session, or making dads feel comfortable being photographed. He might be climbing up somewhere WAY too high to capture I shot that I never could . No matter what he is doing, he will be doing it with genuine kindness. How lucky I am.

Where are you located?
Our business is based out of Milford, Connecticut. We travel for portrait sessions around the state and travel for weddings in the NY, CT, RI area.
Do you offer business services?
Yes! We are often called to corporations and businesses to do headshot sessions, restaurants and stores to shoot content and product photography and both residential and commercial real estate work.
What is your deliverable?
All of our clients receive online galleries of work, professionally edited and high resolution. Clients have full and unlimited access to and use of all content in their galleries.
Can I customize your services?
Absolutely. We want to create services for you that meet the exact needs that you have. Ask us about your project and we will share ideas back and forth until we have a game plan for your job!
