Chelsea & Alex in Newport, Rhode Island
For as long as I can remember, I traveled to Rhode Island every summer with my family for vacation. Simple times. One of our favorite parts of our vacation every year, was the outing to Newport where we would stroll the harbor, admire the sailboats and peruse the shops. We would finish off with a dinner at The Black Pearl or The Red Parrot, lots of family laughs and ice cream cones on the way back to the car.
When Chelsea contacted me about her Newport destination wedding, I was so happy to have the date available. A wonderful air bnb in neighboring Middletown made for perfect getting ready for the bride's friends and family. The Tennis Hall of Fame, the Venue for later in the evening, created an amazing backdrop for the groomsman prep shots. We all met up at Bowman's Wharf, where Chelsea and Alex had reserved a private sailboat charter for their ceremony. Sea breezes and lots of smiles and tears later, we pulled into harbor and headed to the Tennis Hall of Fame for the reception. A Spanish guitar player who traveled on the sailboat and to the venue provided the perfect soundtrack for this beautiful wedding.
